With most cable companies having a monopoly over their area they can charge pretty much any price they want. The only other choice is to go with a satellite company. This may save you a little money but it is still very expensive especially if you want the extra movie channels.

This means bad news for the areas customers. As the these greedy cable companies control certain areas the communities people must suffer. If these poor innocent bystanders of corporate greed only knew about a closely guarded secret this would not happen. TV is something that most people just cannot live without, basically everybody in the world watches TV and I am sure they don’t want just a few fuzzy channels. After all this is the nations favorite past time.

It almost seems that at times that there is just no other choice. You basically just have to give in and pay the outrageous prices that these companies charge for their services. That is exactly what they want you to think to. These companies simply exist to bully around the little guy. As I see it there are three choices to fight back.

The first of these choices is to simply just quit watching TV. Now I know this may seem a little far fetched or even crazy but there are other things out there in the world. We could all go out camping or hiking or something like that. I know we could all go on cross country trips. We could spend an arm and a leg in gas and make the oil barons rich instead. Scratch that. This idea just does not seem to be feasible. I myself couldn’t live without seeing the latest episode of Lost.

The second thing we could try is to organize a national TV strike. If for one whole week everybody could just stop watching TV all together. Just unplug your nice big TV set and let it collect dust and put the remote in a safe place so it will be easy to find in one week. This option does seem like it would be fairly difficult though. It would be hard to get everybody to keep off the couch and away from the temptation. I could see TiVO sales going through the roof as everybody rushes to buy one so they don’t miss a whole weeks worth of soaps or their favorite sitcom. This idea would work but it would be near impossible to get a very large quantity of people to follow through.

The third thing people could do to stand up against these greedy corporations is to simply quit paying them for their services. In stead they use something like Satellite TV Pro. These kinds of services allow you to use your computer as your TV. You have to pay only one payment that is less than one month of service with your current provider and you will have access to over 2000 stations. These stations are the same ones that you get on your satellite plus a lot more.

This kind of service offers complete digital quality TV directly to your computer. From there you can either watch your favorite shows from the comfort of your office / computer room. If you felt like watching your favorite TV show on your television you can also simply hook your computer up to your television. Almost any computer bought in the last few years should have this feature.

These services not only make it cheap and easy to use they also make it so you can record your favorite programs directly to your hard drive. This is just like having a TiVO and it does not cost you a single penny. In fact this is also a great alternative to getting an additional TV set and receiver.

The only limitation on this kind of service is that you should have a good broadband connection. Most of them say that you can use the software on even a dial up modem but I would not recommend it. It would be worth just getting a broadband internet connection with all the money you are going to save. The picture and audio quality that you get with broadband is simply superior.

This article originally posted on this information site where they take your questions and turn them into answers.
Satellite TV Pro

technorati tags:Free, TV, Satellite, Internet, provider, expensive

How To Have Fun And Keep Safe When Using Peer To Peer Software

Start Enjoying Peer To Peer Software All Over Again

As you may have found out by now using peer to peer software can be very fun and good way to get your favorite music, movies, games, and whatever else you want to download. I am sure that you have also heard though that using peer to peer software can openly invite computer problems like adware, spyware, trojans and viruses. Not to mention some files may be illegally distributed and could cost you some very hefty fines. I however want to show you how to safely use peer to peer software just the way it should be.

The Problems With Public Peer To Peer Software

There are several problems that need to be addressed with public peer to peer software. The biggest of them is that they are not monitored. As soon a free peer to peer software program is released it starts building up steam and more and more users join. Some of these users sole purpose in lives are to make others miserable. People will put things like trojans, spyware, adware, and viruses in their files and then distribute them to others. This causes a huge chain reaction as it spreads throughout that particular peer to peer software community. This completely ruins it for everybody.

Here Are Descriptions Of What These People Put On Your Computer

Trojan: A destructive program that masquerades as a true application. Unlike viruses, Trojan horses do not replicate themselves but they can be just as destructive. One of the most insidious types of Trojan horse is a program that claims to rid your computer of viruses but instead introduces viruses onto your computer. These are installed once the file is open and starts every time you turn on your computer. These programs can even allow someone to take complete control of your computer.

Spyware: Any software that covertly gathers user information through the user’s Internet connection without his or her knowledge, usually for advertising purposes. Spyware applications are typically bundled as a hidden component of freeware or shareware programs that can be downloaded from the Internet; however, it should be noted that the majority of shareware and freeware applications do not come with spyware. Once installed, the spyware monitors user activity on the Internet and transmits that information in the background to someone else. Spyware can also gather information about e-mail addresses and even passwords and credit card numbers.

Adware: A form of spyware that collects information about the user in order to display advertisements in the Web browser based on the information it collects from the user’s browsing patterns.

Viruses: A program or piece of code that is loaded onto your computer without your knowledge and runs against your wishes. Viruses can also replicate themselves. All computer viruses are manmade. A simple virus that can make a copy of itself over and over again is relatively easy to produce. Even such a simple virus is dangerous because it will quickly use all available memory and bring the system to a halt. An even more dangerous type of virus is one capable of transmitting itself across networks and bypassing security systems.

As you can see you would never want any of this stuff on your computer. These are the most common reasons peoples computers crash and need to be reformatted resulting in the loss of valuable data. There is really only one way to avoid this happening to you. That is to join a private peer to peer network. Many of the people that want to such destructive things will not bother going out of their way or paying to do so. Why would they ever want to do that when there are millions of people to wreak their havoc on much easier.

The Shinier Side Of The Peer To Peer Software Coin

As you very well know peer to peer software is not all that bad. There is no other way out there to get the music, movies, games, or whatever else you want on demand. To buy all of the things the average user downloads in a month would run literally into the thousands.

Peer to peer software is also the best way to insure that you get the titles that you want as quickly as possible. When downloading strait from the web or even on IRC for that matter you may have to wait weeks if not months to see the most newly released products. With peer to peer software everybody works together so that you can get the newest titles as soon as they are available to the public and sometimes before they are.

Speed is also a major plus for peer to peer software. If you where to download a product from the web you may have to settle for a speed allot slower than you connection will allow you to or even worse you may have to wait just to get that slower connection. When you use peer to peer software you can utilize the resources of everybody else on the network that also has that file. That means instead of downloading the file from one place you are getting it from several hundred places. You will never have to worry about the file being inaccessible because a site is down or a person turned their computer off.

Search speed is just another major factor when you become a downloading freak. When using web pages and resources like IRC it can take quite awhile to find what you are looking for. You have to jump from site to site or server to server depending on what you are using, just to see what they have available for you. Then like mentioned before you have to deal with slow speeds and possible a waiting period. Some IRC servers even require you to upload a file to the server before you can even download anything. With peer to peer software you can download anything without having to bother with uploading anything, it is all done automatically.

With all public peer to peer software applications you have to worry about a variety of other things such as amount of files, audio quality, video quality, legal issues, and possibly the biggest of all no tech support. These public peer to peer programs don’t offer tech support even though they are still making money off of it by means of advertisements. They would simply be to swamped with the amount of users they get.

5 Steps To A Safer Peer To Peer Software Experience

1) When installing your file sharing software, do not allow it to scan your hard disk for media to share. If you do this, it may end up sharing out every single song, video, picture, etc. it locates, regardless of whether it is copyrighted. This is a very important, especially if you have ripped your CD collection on to your PC.
2) Once you have set up the software, configure it to use a new folder as your shared folder. It may be worth putting some freeware items in the shared folder to make it look like your are not a ‘free loader’, e.g. the latest copy of Winamp, OpenOffice, music made freely available by the author, etc. depending on your uplink bandwidth.
3) If the file sharing software offers the ability to disable the browsing of your shared files make sure is checked. While this does not prevent your file sharing software from sharing out files, at least it prevents nosy people from remotely checking what you have shared out.
4) Periodically check the list of items your P2P application is sharing. Most P2P clients can view a list of shared items and this way you can make sure that you are not sharing out content that should not be shared out.
5) If you download something that you are not fully sure is free of copyright protection, immediately move it out of your shared folder once the download has complete. By default, file sharing software automatically shares any downloaded content, so just be warned. Some file sharing software such as eMule and BitTorrent clients even share out partially downloaded files.

Final Words And Recommendations

First off when using any peer to peer software I strongly recommend using a program like Peer Guardian. This software gathers a large list of computers you many not want to have access your PC (RIAA, MPAA etc.) and blocks them from connecting to your PC (to browse your shared files, see what you are downloading/uploading etc). It isn’t a 100% safe of course, as the lag between them changing there IP and PeerGuardian updating to block it would allow them time to theoretically connect to your PC if they really needed to, also not every single “anti-p2p” IP is known, so it does not leave you completely safe either way. However, for most P2P users it is still well worth having providing you update often. It does however slow down your PC when it is running, so I would suggest disabling it to start automatically with windows and run it only when you have P2P applications running.

Second off join a private peer to peer software group. This highly reduces the risk of getting files that have trojans, spyware, adware, or viruses in them. It is still possible but a lot less likely. You are also a lot less likely to be caught downloading something you shouldn’t since it is a private group and not just everybody access it. Overall these groups are the closest thing you will ever see to safe havens for peer to peer software users. I recommend iMP3Download because of it’s massive amount of files. There are over 14 million mp3’s as well as millions more games, movies, and software. It also gives you some killer speed, this group reaches speeds about two hundred and fifty times faster than kazaa and is completely spyware and adware free. They also give 24 hour tech support so you know there is somebody there if you have problems

This article originally posted on http://www.guruofinfo.com where you can find the solutions to your problems.

technorati tags:free, music, mp3, peer, to, download, movies, games, safe, safely

Xbox Fanboys Are Want The Xbox Portable Version Now

Fanboys desire Xbox portable

Zune not good enough

By
Dean Pullen:
Sunday 30 July 2006, 18:35

WE'RE NOT THE only ones who believe Microsoft have been
tinkering around with the idea of a portable Xbox. Over at Team Xbox it seems they've been exploring the idea of a
Microsoft PSP/DS competitor too.

An in-depth article is coupled with a gorgeous mock-up, which looks
like a DS coupled with a PDA keyboard and some 'my-first-console'
colour scheming. We think that if the device was ever unveiled, it's
doubtful a keyboard would exist on the launch product - Microsoft
would be concerned with keeping the console specific to gaming. A
touch screen would be more likely, considering the success of the DS
and Apple's newly previous
article.

Custom high spec parts will cause their own problems. Similar to the
Zune's problematic pricing (The Zune is coming in at $100 more than a
similar spec'd 30gb iPod), the portable Xbox would struggle to find a
competitive price point considering the established competition in the
Sony PSP ($199) and the Nintendo DS ($129). Economies of scale come
in to significant play, and for such a late arrival, Microsoft would
have to emerge with some very good competitive advantages. It could
probably achieve this via much superior hardware and the
close-coupling of the device with its Xbox live/Zune services.

Analysis of an entry into the portable gaming market by Microsoft is
really hotting up - with good reason. Zune is the natural first step
to entrance, the rumours and speculation will only increase until the
inevitable device is finally announced. µ

Fanboys desire Xbox portable

There has been alot of talk about this lately. portion of thegame with its six unique movie-based levels is nearly complete, whatscenes did they most enjoy giving fans the chance to build and battletheir ways through?
"The Battle of Hoth isa huge blast of spectacle and action to kick-start the movie, and itwas an absolute joy to bring this vast battle to life in Lego," saysJonathan Smith, director at TT Games Publishing. "The AT-ATs had amassive impact on me when I first saw the film as a child, and theirexisting Lego toy models – as well as the AT-STs and of course thesnowspeeder – are just so cool. We had a lot of fun creating a Hothbattlefield for two players to zoom around on simultaneously, and we'rereally proud of the storytelling sequences, too."

David Perkinson, producer at LucasArts, is particularly amused by the cutsceneaccompanying his favourite moment from the film. "You want to know howthey handle Darth Vader saying 'I am your father' to Luke with Legocharacters that don't talk, don't you?" he teases. "Well, I'm not goingto ruin anything for you. But trust me, it'll have you laughing outloud."

"Of course, there'ssomething to be said for the gameplay actually leading up to thatcutscene," adds Jeffrey Gullett, assistant producer at LucasArts. "Fromthe carbon freezing chamber to the central chasm within the bowels ofCloud City, the lightsaber battle itself between Vader and Luke willalways be a classic. You've possibly played this classic scene in apast Star Wars game, but Traveller's Tales has absolutely nailed it –and with the added bonus of a few healthy chuckles along the way."

But that's not theonly thing Gullett enjoys while visiting Cloud City. "Lando is myfavourite character in the game to play as, without a doubt," he says."With his unique melee attack, you can bust out some mad kung-fu skillswith him as you take out stormtroopers en route to a boss fight withBoba Fett. Everyone also laughs when they see how he tilts his blasterto the side as he shoots. Someone at Traveller's Tales has a lot oflove for Lando!"

"We all love him andall of the other characters in the game," assures William Thompson, character artist at Traveller's Tales. "And we love developing theclassic scenarios into Lego form just as much. In one way, you feellike you're making a tribute to the amazing characters and sequencesthat thrilled you so much as a child. In another, you also just have somuch fun sticking in the slapstick gags and adding all those littleimportant details that you hope fans will notice – things like makingR2-D2's periscope on Dagobah an essential gameplay element during yourtime on Yoda's swamp planet. This particular example serves the doublepurpose of both making you laugh and helping you get through the level."

Through working onDagobah for Lego Star Wars II, Smith came to appreciate the swampplanet even more than before. "Until we really got into our research,we didn't realize how much Lego there is littered across the swamps ofDagobah," recalls Smith. "The area around Yoda's house is full of junkto fool around with! Now, when we watch the movie, we almost expect tosee a Lego washing machine or a Lego tractor half-submerged besideLuke's X-wing!"

Next story: "In Pieces, You Will Be"
*May the Force buildwith you with versions developed by Traveller's Tales on PlayStation 2computer entertainment system, Sony PSP, Xbox 360, Xbox, GameCube andWindows, as well as handheld versions developed by Amaze Entertainmentfor DS and Game Boy Advance.

Gameplanet - Features - Lego Star Wars II

I myself really dont like any of the lego series of games. With the recent news that The Sopranos will also not make an appearance on Microsoft's next-gen console, that means gamers looking for a Hollywood gangster fix are going to have to settle for The Godfather. Power. Respect.
Game Inspired by Legendary Film Mixes Turn-Based Strategy and Real-Time Combat; Scheduled for Release in Fall 2006

LOS ANGELES, July 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Vivendi Games' Sierra Entertainment is creating Scarface(TM): Money. Power. Respect., a unique game designed specifically for the PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system that combines turn-based strategy gameplay with real-time combat. Licensed by Universal Studios Consumer Products Group and developed by FarSight Studios, Scarface: Money. Power. Respect. will allow gamers to relive Tony Montana's epic rise to power in the drug-fueled world of 1983 Miami and is expected to be available at retail stores in October 2006.

Sierra Entertainment will also release Scarface: The World Is Yours, an open-world action game, in Fall 2006. Scarface: The World Is Yours is being developed by Radical Entertainment for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, the Xbox® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and Windows PC.

Inspired by the epic film's original storyline, Scarface: Money. Power. Respect. will thrust gamers into a deep and engaging strategy game as Tony Montana, where the goal is to battle and defeat competing drug cartels and conquer Miami turf-by-turf, eventually becoming the one-and-only Kingpin of the city.

"Scarface: Money. Power. Respect. will challenge players to strategically direct Tony Montana's legendary and meteoric ascent to the biggest drug kingpin in Miami," said Cindy Cook, Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer for Vivendi Games. "Using the PSP platform's advanced functionality and multiplayer capabilities, Scarface: Money. Power. Respect. will deliver a unique and challenging strategy experience combined with real-time combat that is fully immersed in the authentic world of the film."

Featuring both single- and multi-player modes, Scarface: Money. Power. Respect. will challenge players to make critical strategic decisions to rise from humble beginnings to directing an army of henchmen and hired gunmen through detailed scenarios of conquest and domination.

In the story-based single-player mode, gamers will complete a series of missions based on scenes from the original movie to conquer "turfs" in Miami. Players will need to direct large-scale citywide strategic commands to complete their conquest as well as direct street-level real-time combat. The game will challenge gamers to handle larger territory, additional adversaries and new profit-making opportunities through increased drug trafficking.

The wireless multi-player mode pits up-to-four gamers playing as criminal cartels in a race to make money and conquer turf. The multi-player battle begins with a "Land Grab," where each cartel lays claim to their share of Miami. Through turn-based strategy showdowns and real-time combat, each player will manage the production and distribution of drugs while building up enough cartel strength to overpower adversaries, take their turf and eventually, rule the Miami drug scene.
Scarface: Money. Power. Respect. is scheduled to ship in October 2006 for a suggested retail price of $39.99, with an expected ESRB "Mature" rating.

Scarface Skips 360, Goes To PSP - Kotaku

Ha ha Microsoft just got the shaft. Who can really blame the makers of Scarface though. All Sony products sell more. The XBox 360 may be alot more powerful but there is just not enough demand for 360 games.

However taking the game to the PSP is a big downgrade on the graphical asspect of the game. I would really like to see it realeased for the PS2 and PS3 when it comes out.

technorati tags:scarface, game, sony, psp, xbox, 360, owned

WTF? Without a library of hugely-successful titles -- at least when compared to other systems -- and the near death of the UMD movie format, is it time we all just gave up on the PSP ever being a viable gaming platform?

Well, Gameworld sure does make some convincing arguments. Here are just a couple:

To date there are currently only three PSP titles that have sold over one million units. They include Grand Theft Auto: Liberty Stories with 2.84 million, Ridge Racer with 1.04 million, and Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee at 1 million.

... the DS Lite shines brighter in every aspect, and finally gamers budgets are going to be very strained over the course of the next ten months at least as we all rush to buy the Wii, PS3, or an Xbox 360.

We all have our own personal gripes about the system, with problems ranging from exceedingly long load times to just poor control schemes on lazy ports. The question is, will there ever be a game on the PSP that you just have to have? Is Loco Roco really the answer for a system that can't seem to catch on with the masses -- at least compared to its cheaper competitors -- or is it forever doomed to lay waste in mediocrity?

Should we consider the PSP dead? - Joystiq

I can sort of understand this persons perspective a little bit. Well not really. I am sure the PSP is not close to being phased out. XBOX wont have its portable out for at least a year with how they release things. Its one and only compeditor right now is the Nintendo DS and it still sure the hell does not stand up to the PSP. Dont know what the hell this guy is thinking.

technorati tags:psp, dead, xbox, nintendo, DS

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://free-psp-music-downloads.blogspot.com/2006/07/wtf-should-we-consider-psp-dead.html' title='WTF? In my opinion this is happening quite soon. The PSP really has not been out for all that long and I am sure we have not came close to seeing what it all has to offer.

But none the less against my better judgment Sony will release this package on July 25th. It will contain Hot Shots Golf, ATV Offroad Fury, Wipeout Pure, Ape Escape, Twisted Metal, Midnight Club 3, Harry Potter & The Goblet OF Fire, and Star Wars Battlefront 2. You will get all of these games for the low low price of only $19.99.

technorati tags:psp, pack, greatest, hits

PSP Hacks: PSP Loader Compatibility List

PSP Hacks :: Loader Compatibility List
source: Syn13 [via PSP Hacks forums]

Contents:
1. The 4GB Memory Stick PRO Duo card is compatible with a wide range of Sony’s products, ranging from Cyber-shot cameras, Handycam camcorders, Sony Ericsson phones, PSP systems and even the latest Digital Single-Lens Reflex (D-SLR) camera, α100 .

“Sony strives to deliver to customers an overall maximum multimedia experience with a strong hardware presence in display, digital imaging, PCs, mobile phones, portable gaming and other products. As the creator of Memory Stick, Sony constantly pushes the envelope to deliver faster, higher volume storage for the most demanding applications in its products. Now consumers can create more and enjoy more. It all means a richer and more immersive digital experience,” said Mr. Ozawa Manabu, Director, Recording Media & Energy Division, Sony Electronics Asia Pacific.

Like all original Memory Stick cards, the 4GB Memory Stick PRO Duo benefits from Memory Stick File Rescue Service. This free service is readily available on http://www.sony-asia.com/memorystick/support.html and it helps to recover lost files through accidental deletions or data loss. Supported formats include jpg (DCF format), MPEG1 and .mp4 (MS Video File Format) files.

The 4GB Memory Stick PRO Duo offers industry-leading durability and is able to operate between -13 F to +185 F. Compatible with MagicGate copyright technology, consumers can enjoy secure transfer and playback of commercial and copyrighted content. The Memory Stick transfers files easily among Memory Stick-capable products such as VAIO notebooks and other range of Sony products with an in-box Memory Stick adapter. The 4GB Memory Stick PRO Duo is available in July in Asia Pacific and is priced at USD199.

www.hardwarezone.com® :: News Flash At A Glance!

Is it just me or does Sony kind of encourage piracy? I know what you are all thinking. Ok he lost it. Why the hell would Sony promote piracy of there software. But hold on just a minute. Lets look at this from my point of view.

First off the Playstation series is usally the quickest and easiest console to use burned games on. Unlike Nintendo whos Gamecube runs off of mini DVD's with there own special incription and compression. It is about as close as any console manufacture has came to proventing this.

What is the most common thing done with these wonderful little memory sticks you use in your PSP? You guessed it, playing copied games. By Sony releasing this they are basically helping you store more games on you memory stick and therefor making piracy more desiarable.

technorati tags:psp, 4GB, Sony, piracy, memory, stick

Sony Apologizes For The PSP Advertisments That Have Been Seen As Racist

Sony Apologizes, Removes PSP Ads Seen as Racist

AP
07/13/06 8:24 AM PT

Sony Computer Entertainment, attempting to advertise its PlayStation Portable video game in The Netherlands, is facing racism complaints. Downgrading from 2.0 to 1.5
The following three files are necessary...

MPH Downgrader

1.50 Update EBOOT

2.0 Update EBOOT

You will need to upgrade to 2.0 first, if you're using 1.51 or 1.52. Also note that many antivirus scanners will incorrectly detect the downgrader as a virus. You can see here it is 100% safe to use.

Remember this will ONLY WORK on a PSP with firmware V2.0.

You need to unzip the files MPHDowngrader.zip and EBOOT_1.50.zip. Use a program such as WinRAR, 7Zip, or WinZip (check Google). Once they are unzipped, you're ready to start the process.

Connect your PSP to your computer via the USB cable.

Once the connection is set up, open up My Computer and browse to the removable disk that is your PSP. There will be a few things we will have to setup here.

Go ahead and double click on that to open up your PSP on your computer, you'll be in what's called the root menu. There will be a PSP folder showing if you are in the right place.

Copy the following files over to this root directory. Make sure it is in THIS location IN the ROOT folder...NOT in the PSP folder or any other folder. Index.dat and h.bin should both be put into your root directory.

Once this is done, open up the PSP folder and then open up the Photo folder. Here, you will copy over overflow.tif file, but make sure you keep it in the Photo directory and not a sub directory.

Now, go back to the PSP directory and this time go into the Game directory. If there is not one already there, create a folder called UPDATE. It MUST be called UPDATE and nothing else.

Open up the new UPDATE folder you just made and then copy EBOOT.PBP into this folder from your computer. Once all of this is done, you're ready to start downgrading. So far, so good.

This is vital! Double check that you followed the above instructions to the letter before continuing.

Good now you can continue.

Disconnect the USB connection from the computer and plug the AC adapter into your PSP. As with all upgrades, you must have a certain percentage of battery life as well as the AC adapter plugged in, or this will not work properly.

Now go to the Photo icon on your PSP and scroll through the pictures to get to overflow.tif. You do NOT have to press anything. It will start automatically. Two strings of letters/numbers will appear. This is normal and good.

Wait AT LEAST 30 SECONDS and then turn off your PSP by holding the power button up until it fully shuts down. Then, go ahead and start your PSP up again.

Now you will now have to go over to the Game icon and scroll down to memory stick. Select this and you should see the 1.5 update.

Go and select it and start it up. Go through it as you've done before with your 2.0 update and follow the prompts. When the update reaches 99% it will crash and show an error. THIS IS OKAY. DO NOT PANIC. Once again press the power switch up until it fully turns off.

Now, turn the PSP back on. You will get another error. Just press the "O" button and it will restart after rebuilding the system data. Then just set it up as you did when you first got your PSP and you have a brand new 1.5 PSP. Be responsible with it and don’t abuse it.

Terry Brazil
entertainment.guruofinfo.com
Learn how to get all of the PSP games and movies you could ever want.

Secrets of the PSP Guru's: Changing The Background On Any Version

Did you ever want to change your PSP background but didn’t know how or simply didn’t want to waste that much time doing what should be very simple? Those days have come and gone. You will never have to think of changing your background as a task anymore.

With the release of PSPersonalize you can now change the monthly background files very easily even with a v1.50 PSP.

With so many people still using firmware version 1.50 this was a unnecessary pain. This version was the origonal and to this day is the most widly used. This is due to the use of Homebrew games and applications.

You will no longer have to go through the long and drawn out process of changing the current monthly picture just to get your favorite picture on your PSP desktop.

This process was very painful and used to take you around 10 minutes just to change the background on your PSP. Im my opinion this is just way to long for such a small thing. Sony should have had this integrated from the beginning since it is a very nice feature and adds some personality to your PSP.

Well say good bye to those days. With PSPersonalize it just takes acouple minutes. Making this awsome feature availible for even a complete computer novice.

Firmware v2.0 automatically supports using themes wich allows you to change the backgoound with ease without a homebrew PSP application. This makes it beyond simple to change your background at any time. You simply have to place the background on your memory stick in the X:/PSP/PHOTO directory. Then simply go into the photo menu to select it.

So there you have it a quick and easy way to set your favorite background on your PSP with minimal effort. But not only is it powerful it is also a great value if you are looking to get the most out of your handheld gaming.

The heart of the Gigapack is the Play Station Personal handheld gaming system. The PSP is the most powerful handheld gaming device ever created. The PSP runs on a 333Mhz processor that is almost equal to that of the Play Station 2. It incorporates 32MB of main memory and 4MB of DRAM.

The screen measures at 4.3 inches. This is the largest screen size for any handheld with the Nintendo DS measuring in at 3 inches. The PSP also has a screen resolution of 480 x 272 pixels. This is almost double the Nintendo DS’s screen. This makes for a really high resolution image.

The PSP has built in stereo speakers as well as a slew of different ways to communicate with it. Among the communication methods are 802.11b wireless networking, USB 2.0, Pro Duo memory stick, IrDA, and an infra red remote.

The PSP takes UMD cartridges which is made for the PSP exclusivly. The recognized file formats are the PSP game format, UMD Audio, and UMD Video. All of these can easily be created on a computer and loaded to your PSP’s memory stick via the USB cable. This allows you to download a very large variety of files for use on your PSP.

The PSP also features a headphone and microphone jack. This allows you to talk to others while playing online. The PSP is basically a computer you can fit in your pocket. It also has a power connector to recharge the PSP’s built in battery.

The buttons consist of the standard PlayStation controller buttons with a few extras. The additional buttons are home, power, brightness control, sound mode, volume, wireless networking on/off switch, and a disk eject button.

The PSP also features parental controls. This will allow concerned parents to lock their children out of games and movies they shouldn't he seeing. This is a great feature and the PSP is the only handheld gaming device to offer it.

Sony also plans on delivering a slew of accessories to even further your handheld experience. You can also pick up the USB Camera for PSP, USB GPS for PSP, and USB Keyboard for PSP.

The Gigapack takes this outstanding gaming system and teams it up with a bunch of the added extras. Some Gigapack vary in what they give but most are the same. Included in the Gigapack is a 1GB memory stick (to hold your favorite games, movies, music, and more), PSP headphones with remote control, soft carrying case, PSP AC adaptor, PSP battery pack, travel plug (so you can charge your PSP anywhere in the world), PSP stand, USB cable, cleaning cloth, and usually two games.

You can obviously see why the PSP Gigapack is the most powerful handheld gaming package in the world. Teamed up with a great PSP download service you will have all you will ever need for handheld entertainment. Even if you already have a PSP you should at least invest about $55 on a 1GB memory stick.

There are a few PSP download services on the market and I have tried most all of them. The one I am most satisfied with and use on a daily basis is PSP Download Services. They offer a ton of benefits to get the most out of your PSP.

Although you can find PSP files for download on the Internet for free they are usually fairly speratic. It may take a few hours just to locate what you are looking for and a lot of the time the file may be taken down. This happens a lot if the game has not just recently been released. The same is true for PSP movies that can be found for free.

I strongly suggest you use a PSP download service. This way you will not waste away hours just to find out that the file you are looking for has been taken down. With a download service you simply search for what you are looking for and it will come back with a list of results. You are usually guaranteed to find what you are looking for. For instance PSP Download Services offers an amazing 20+ million files. You will always find exactly what you are looking for.

Depending on who you choose you may have a monthly download limit or even a monthly bandwidth limit. Others may give you a content limit so you can only get a certain amount of say games or movies in any given month. You will never experience any of these problems with PSP Download Services. You will always get UNLIMITED PSP game, movie, music, mp3, software, screen savers, background image, themes, e-books, and more.

PSP Download Services also runs on the world fastest network and uses a download excelerator. That means that you can use this great service even if you only have dial up. What this mean for you is that your downloads that usually take a matter of hours will only take you a matter of minutes with PSP Download Services.

You will also get step-by-step instructions on how to use this great technology.
