Singapore, 13th July 2006 -- Sony launches the 4GB Memory Stick PRO Duo card, the latest and highest capacity member of the Memory Stick PRO Duo family which provides an incredible storage capacity to accommodate up to an estimated 1,453 images of 10 mega pixel each, 67 hours of non-stop music or even 7 hours of movies. The 4GB Memory Stick PRO Duo card is compatible with a wide range of Sony’s products, ranging from Cyber-shot cameras, Handycam camcorders, Sony Ericsson phones, PSP systems and even the latest Digital Single-Lens Reflex (D-SLR) camera, α100 .

This free service is readily available on http://www.sony-asia.com/memorystick/support.html and it helps to recover lost files through accidental deletions or data loss. Supported formats include jpg (DCF format), MPEG1 and .mp4 (MS Video File Format) files.
The 4GB Memory Stick PRO Duo offers industry-leading durability and is able to operate between -13 F to +185 F. Compatible with MagicGate copyright technology, consumers can enjoy secure transfer and playback of commercial and copyrighted content. The Memory Stick transfers files easily among Memory Stick-capable products such as VAIO notebooks and other range of Sony products with an in-box Memory Stick adapter. Is it just me or does Sony kind of encourage piracy? I know what you are all thinking. Ok he lost it. Why the hell would Sony promote piracy of there software. But hold on just a minute. Lets look at this from my point of view.
First off the Playstation series is usally the quickest and easiest console to use burned games on. Unlike Nintendo whos Gamecube runs off of mini DVD's with there own special incription and compression. It is about as close as any console manufacture has came to proventing this.
What is the most common thing done with these wonderful little memory sticks you use in your PSP? You guessed it, playing copied games. By Sony releasing this they are basically helping you store more games on you memory stick and therefor making piracy more desiarable.
